On May, 4th 2008 Ancram Fire Company had an extrication training drill, which employed the use of the "Jaws of life" (spreaders and cutters), cribbing, electric saws, and several other important tools necessary to safely and quickly gain access to a victim trapped inside a vehicle.
The pictures below depict the flood of '06 in Walton NY. We sent 3 crews to Walton for 3 days to help
pump out houses and buildings in the town, the flood covered most of the
town it was said that about 85% of the town was flooded. All 3
crews where 3 man crews with an officer. We took pumps and other
equipment with us to help. Several other fire companys where there from Columbia County, as well from differnt counys throughout the state. -Capt. Steve Mitchell
